There’s something so special about photographing extended families – especially when three generations come together, surrounded by countryside, kids, dogs… and even a horse!
This relaxed family photoshoot in Nottinghamshire was full of warmth and laughter. Grandparents, children, and grandchildren came together to simply enjoy each other’s company - no super stiff posing, just real moments. From playful games and muddy wellies to quiet cuddles and hand in hand walks, it was a joy to capture the in between moments that truly tell their story.
We recreated a few special photos they’d had taken years ago, which was such a lovely touch, but the magic really happened during the candid moments, when the kids ran free, the dogs bounded into the frame, and the horse (yes, really!) made a surprise appearance.
It was one of those sessions that felt more like a family gathering than a photoshoot, the kind that reminds you what it’s all about: connection, laughter, and a bit of chaos in the best way.
